1. How many times longer is the 1600 meter race compared to the 100 meter race?

2. In the Olympics, the mens’ shotput weighs 16 pounds. About how much is this in kilograms?

3. Usain Bolt set the world record for the 100m with a time of 9.58. At this rate, how long (in minutes and seconds) would it take him to run the 1600m?

4. Olympic gold medals cost about $300 to make. If there are 302 events in the Olympic games, about how much money will have been spent on making gold medals?

5. The 1600 meter race is pretty close to 1 mile. Which is longer, and by how much?
