On average, one item per day falls victim to gravity. At this rate, in what year will 2300 pieces of space junk enter the atmosphere if you start counting today (November 17, 2008).

Joe Flacco has thrown for 1649 yards and 7 touchdowns, but has 7 interceptions. He has run for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has also received for 43 yards. Matt Cassel has thrown for 1800 yards and 7 touchdowns, but has 7 interceptions. He has run for 123 yards and 1 touchdown.

Passing Yards (20 yards per point)

1. Maclean purchased a new oven. The cost of the oven was $10,258, and she made a down payment of $820. If Maclean pays the same amount each month for 12 months, how much will her monthly payment be? It is a really nice oven...
2. If 4x – 2 = 5x – 3, what is the value of x? Yes, the x values must match.
3. The Merwin family rented a truck for a $52.95 fee plus $0.35/mi. They spent $33.75 to fill the tank with gasoline before returning the truck. If the Merwin family spent $140.95, including gasoline, to rent the truck, how many miles was the truck driven? I don't know why she needed the truck, but maybe she wanted a safe place to carry her guitar.
4. At 10:00am, Mr. Little leaves his house in a car at a rate of 60 mi/h. At the same time, Mrs. Little, driving in another car, leaves the same house at a rate of 50 mi/h in the opposite direction. At what time will the cars be 330 miles apart? Don't worry, we will turn around and drive back home once you finish answering the question.

1. In Mr. Ewen’s class, Chris caught 6 worms. Meleina caught 7 and Sam caught 5. The children put some of their worms in a big jar. The jar then had 8 worms. How many worms were not placed in the jar?

2. At an amusement park, there are 4 rides that require tickets. The Twister costs 5 tickets, The Slide costs 6, The Rocket costs 3, and The Whipper costs 4. Alex bought 15 tickets. He went on the Rocket first. Then he went on the Twister. How many tickets did he have left?
Ans: 7 tickets
3. Anthony had $600. He spent 2/5 of it on a PS3 player. He then spent 1/3 of the remaining money on a jacket. How much money did Anthony have left?
Ans: $240
4. The MathCounts club had a cupcake sale. They sold 2/3 of their cupcakes in the morning. They sold 1/6 of their cupcakes in the afternoon. They sold 200 cupcakes altogether. How many cupcakes were left to sell?
Ans: 40 cupcakes
5. The teachers went to the AIMS Conference on Monday. Mr. Little arrived early and got the Early Bird Special, $8 for parking. Mr. Doss arrived 15 minutes later and just missed the special. Mr. Doss was parked for 5 hours and paid $26. Mr. Little couldn’t leave until 15 minutes after Mr. Doss in order to keep the Early Bird Special, because the woman working in the parking lot was scary and told him that he had to wait or pay $26. What was the difference in the per hour cost of parking between Mr. Little and Mr. Doss?
